Ice Arena

Babbitt's Ice Arena is city owned and operated from mid-October through mid-March. This facility is used by the public for open skating, girls and boys hockey, and the figure skating club as well as the local school system. The arena was recently updated with energry efficient lighting and new locker rooms. In the past year the arena has gone through a maintenance program that repaired the roof and replaced two older compressors with newer models so that our great ice standards could be maintained.

Ice time is available for rent at $65 per hour.  Please call (218) 827-3568 to book an event.

Mondays:

3:30 - 5:30 pm:  Low and High Freestyle Group Lesson

6:00 - 7:30 pm:  Open Skating

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 

3:30 - 4:15 pm:  Basic 3, Basic 5

3:45 - 4:15 pm:  Snowplow

4:15 - 5:00 pm:  Basic 1 & 2, Basic 4, Basic 6, 7, 8

5:00 - 6:00 pm:  Hockey

6:30 - 7:30 pm:  Low Freestyle

7:30 - 8:30 pm:   High Freestyle

Fridays:  *Cost $3.00 per day  (sponsored by the Babbitt Recreation Department)

6:00 - 7:30 pm:  Open Skating 

7:30 - 9:00 pm:  Open Hockey 

Saturdays:

6:00 - 8:00 pm  Open Skating
